How do I let go of past, what are unresolved emotional issues, what does it mean to heal emotionally?

Have you ever been in a situation where you got angry over a situation that feels “not so important” but you still lose your temper beyond control? Do you have death wishes for someone close to you, for someone very dear to you? Do you fantasize misery, to be miserable is the way to get attention? You must be putting your best efforts to be successful but lack of confidence might be pulling you down, even if you are adequately talented.

when thoughts are not in control and everything seems to fall apart

As we grow up, our mind becomes a warehouse of each and every moment that we have spent in our life. We might not be able to access that information, relating it to good or bad times, but it is stored, there with its entire essence!

Now imagine the volume of memories we are carrying in our head!!!

We have numerous memories and impressions due to various experiences since childhood. For example, Children brought up in dysfunctional families either have fear of commitment or abusive relationships. They have a recurring pattern of failed relationships. Even when they can see clearly that their partner is not suitable for them, they cannot quit..

Over a period we do forget many things but the emotions related to those events are still stored in the cellular memory. This can be understood in the sensations that we feel in our body on a particular instance, like anger, rage, heat, goosebumps, sweat, redness etc. These are the reactions by our body to the external stimuli. Something gets stimulated inside! And now every cell in our body is reacting to it.

What could be the reason?

It is worth exploring the reason behind such situations where we feel totally out of control, even when our sane mind can understand and see things clearly but as if something from inside has taken control over our mind and actions and now we cannot stop.

It is worth exploring the reason behind such situations where we feel totally out of control, even when our sane mind can understand and see things clearly but as if something from inside has taken control over our mind and actions and now we cannot stop.

It could be a wave of unexpressed anger, unacknowledged appreciation, lack of parental presence, low confidence, undeclared competition with siblings, bullying in school and many other incidents give us a feeling of powerlessness, low self-esteem or a victim outlook. Sometimes we create a false sense of ego to compensate and feel powerful. Sometimes this goes on for life!l This doesn’t let us grow in a true sense. We get lost in our fake world where we feel like a king but the truth is far away from that. Or we choose to be a loner to protect ourselves from such “emotionally threatening” situations.

It’s important to revisit how you felt as a child

Exploring your latent feelings, living to through them again, this time consciously, expressing your heart out in a non-judgemental space can relieve you of the blockages. There is no fear of judgement, no need to control or manipulate your expression, there is no compulsion to put on a “good” mask. One can feel free to feel “bad”, feel vulnerable, express the “dark side” and clear of their heart and mind to make space for new life energy

How can we help?

When Innersaga started with Medical Yoga, we realised that just focusing of body was not enough as most of the physical problems that people came with were clearly the result of their emotional issues. It was also difficult for people to access their latent emotions though Yoga, while doing asanas. Hence we decided to complement Yoga with other healing modalities which specifically target on emotional healing and we started with Inner Child healing & Breathwork sessions.

During our experience in the Inner Child sessions, it is overwhelming to see people cry their heart out, scream at the top of their lungs, rip off the pillows and come alive as a fresh soul which is ready to bloom. They learn to protect, nurture themselves and take responsibility for their life!

However, before this process begins, one has to be ready to get healed. One has to be willing to transform their life.

A Life willing to get transformed can attain blissfulness!
